terms of business

We (‘our’, ‘us’, ‘ours’) are TapMedic Sales Ltd & TapMedic IP Limited, both companies registered at The Old Chapel, Chapel Hill, Clayton West, Huddersfield, HD8 9NH.

When you (‘your’) – the person named on the order – place an order with us, we will do business with you under the following terms. These terms do not affect your statutory rights.


By purchasing a kit and/or parts you make a declaration of competence of both the understanding and ability to install in compliance with Water Regulations and specifically with the Water Supply Regulations 1999 and the Scottish Byelaws 2004 and any such other laws or regulations applicable to such installations as may be in force from time to time. You agree in the purchase of these products that you shall fully and completely indemnify us from any and all matters arising from your mis-application mis-installation or breaches arising from installation of these products and their consequences in perpetuity.


We offer goods for sale through our website www.tapmedic.co.uk and other venues from time to time such as exhibitions.

Our prices may change from time to time and printed material such as catalogues or advertisements will always show our prices at the time they were produced.


As we trade business to business, the prices we quote exclude VAT at the rate applicable at time of transaction.


We only offer goods on a payment-with-order basis. This means you must pay us when you place the order. You may pay using most credit cards and debit cards via our payment web portal. You can also pay via BACs. When offering products at venues such as exhibitions, we may also accept cash but not normally. We will only accept your order if we receive your payment in full. Goods will not be supplied to you before payment or cleared funds are received by us.

Please talk to us if you would like us to consider you for a credit account. If we agree, and we cannot promise anything, then that account will be conducted under separate terms of business.

sending you the goods

We will normally send you the goods on the same working day provided we receive cleared funds and you receive your email confirmation from us timed prior to 15:00.


We currently only serve businesses in the UK. We will deliver your order to any address in the UK. For delivery we use a national carrier and, in most cases, you will normally receive your goods within two working days. If you live in a remote area or the carrier finds your address more difficult to find, your delivery may take a little longer. With some of the more remote areas, such as the Highlands of Scotland, delivery may take several days. Unlike most, we do not charge more for delivery to remote areas such as the Highlands of Scotland but we cannot guarantee that will not change.

Once you have placed your order, we will contact you by email with more delivery information.

receiving orders

Unless we have your written authorisation, we will always need an authorised person’s signature when delivering goods to you.


Our aim is to keep enough stock so that we do not run out. However at times, e.g. when there is unexpectedly high demand, we may run out. If this happens, we may delay sending out your order until new stock arrives. We will keep you informed of progress should this happen via the information you have given with your order or within your account.


If you want to cancel your order, you can do so up to 14:50 on the day of dispatch. We normally pack and send out orders very quickly so if you need to cancel your order, please call us immediately. Your legal rights are not affected.

quality assurance

If any of the products or services we supply fail to perform satisfactorily due to faulty materials or manufacture, contact us and we will work with you to deal with the problem. This may involve providing a replacement product or giving you a full or partial refund. Your legal rights are not affected. Our obligation goes no further than this.

our mistakes

We are constantly updating our website, products, prices and offers. We are confident of our technology and staff but we realise that we sometimes may make mistakes. If we notice a mistake then we will contact you and explain the situation. If you notice a mistake then please contact us immediately. We will sort out the matter fairly with you. If we cannot or if the proposed resolution is unacceptable then please be aware we may refuse your order or ask for the product to be returned to us at our cost at which point we will refund any payment you may have made.

unexpected circumstances

If things like strikes, wars, acts of terrorism or even small things like power cuts interfere with our business with you, we will do our best to keep things going. However, we will not be legally responsible to you for any failure which is due to these unexpected circumstances or any other situation outside our control.

age restrictions

No current age legislation applies to goods we supply. However, as a business to business website and supplier we have decided that we shall not supply anyone under the age of 18. By ordering these goods, you are confirming that you are over 18 and that the person receiving the delivery is also over 18. We may occasionally and randomly ask you to provide proof of age.

legal responsibility

Nothing in these terms of business should affect your legal rights or limit our legal responsibility for death, personal injury or fraudulent misrepresentation resulting from our negligence, or any other liability which we cannot limit or exclude by law. We will not compensate for delivery delays or failures that are outside our control. In these circumstances, we will limit what we pay you to a refund of the delivery charges you have paid. Our decision will be final. We will not be legally responsible to you for any losses. We will not be legally responsible to you for any business losses.


These terms of business will be governed by English law. Any disputes will be dealt with by the English courts.
